James Brune has accumulated in-depth professional experience and is well-versed in the areas of:

He began his career in natural gas marketing and trading; working for two Fortune 500 energy companies during his tenure. James has 7 years experience in devising and executing complex physical and financial derivative hedging solutions for utilities and industrials.
After trading but before entering into a graduate program in business, James had the opportunity to produce an independent feature film. He served as Treasurer, Line Producer and Production Manager for this production.
Upon completion of the film and graduation from business school, James joined a weather risk managment and communications company in 2005 as a Regional Director. He created and managed the company’s New York office responsible for consulting and solution sales in the Marine, Aviation, Energy, and Mobile industrial sectors. He was promoted to Interim CEO in March of 2007 after formulating and implementing a plan to restructure the firm; returning the subsidiary of a foreign parent to profitability during his 5-year tenure.
james brune consultants recently completed work for two digital media start-up companies. Currently, the firm is advising on residential and commercial buy/sell transactions.
