motion picture production consultation was not something that james brune consultants had any prior experience doing; however it was an opportunity to enter at the ground level and build a company for our client.  Last Minute Works, Inc. was incorporated for the purpose of creating the feature film ‘One Shot’. 

James Brune wrote the business plan and solicited seed capital to fund the project.  He was hired to oversee all aspects of the production and post-production.  He later took on the roles of Executive Producer, Line Producer and Production Manager.  This effectively meant that as resources were tight and efficiency paramount, James served as financier, accountant, and the ‘guy who knows about it’ to the Writer, Director, Editor and Production Staff.

Duties included managing shareholder contributions, accounts payable, IRS reporting, production time scheduling, crew and actor management, guild/union compliance and budgetary concerns ($200,000.00 budget). 

Post-production involved researching and executing a film festival strategy and eventual distribution contract negotiations. 

‘One Shot’ received three ‘Official Selection’ status recognitions and two awards.
